The Wesley Fund to Provide Need-Based Financial Support so all Children and Youth Can Experience Camp

At its November meeting, the Conference Board of Trustees approved plans to establish The Wesley Fund through the North Georgia Conference Camp and Retreat Ministries.   The Wesley Fund will go toward financial assistance for children and youth who would otherwise not be able to attend North Georgia Conference Summer Camps. Catawba Indian Reservation was recently visited by 12 children, ages 5-10 years old, from Harlem UMC. April 8th-9th the little missionaries picked up trash along the Catawba River walking trails, painted pallets for hanging tomato plants, picked up sticks in the picnic areas, raked leaves, and pulled weeds in the community gardens.
